What would have been another ordinary Friday in my world suddenly became one of the most memorable and wonderful ones for me as my best friends gave birth to their first daughter on 11.11.11 (remember their Ireland wedding from last summer??). Although I missed her actual arrival, I took a few moments to stop by the hospital after and meet the new addition for myself. The moment I laid eyes on that squishy little face I felt like my heart was going to burst it felt so full of love for her! I was in between sessions that day but thankfully had enough time to relish in everyone’s joy, watch Cora have her first bath, tell my best friend how proud I was of her, and take a few photos. Here are but a few of my faves from our time together… and here’s to all of the many adventures that I’m sure we will have!
Cora Sue I love you SO MUCH and am so happy you are finally here!

Oh she’s just precious! Love these Suzy! It’s not just the birth that tells an important story- those short days in the hospital are all VERY special!!
[...] Jenn is my best friend because we completely 100% get each other. We agree and hold the same views on pretty much everything, and she’s one of few friends I can count on to not judge me for anything I tell her. Unfortunately we don’t live super close to each other so getting together is definitely not often but I’m happy to see her whenever I can. When I met up with her and her sweet baby Cora recently we went to the Grayslake Farmer’s Market. We checked out the produce, bought some farm fresh eggs and beets, and then walked a few blocks down the road to what we thought was a park but actually turned out to be a cement skate park lol So we literally walked into a tiny ravine off the side of the road and sat in the shade to just lounge around and talk. And being the photographer I am, I couldn’t help but snap a few pics of Cora Sue now that she’s getting sooo so big since I last saw her (check out her newborn and birth images HERE and HERE). [...]
