Tuesday, July 17th, 2012Oh boy.. Connor. What a sweet heart you already are, even at just two weeks old.
I seriously can’t even count up all the times he smiled during his newborn & family photography session with us. I’m guessing when I come back and revisit him months or years down the road that he’ll probably have the same big grin on his face
Anyway, below are but a few of my favorites from our time with Connor and his family (and you needn’t worry, I definitely included some smiles
). And as always, thanks a million to mom & dad for inviting us out to capture their new family and for being incredibly sweet and hospitable to us while we spent time with them all XOXO

Tuesday, July 17th, 2012Aside from being probably one of the prettiest babies we’ve ever worked with, sweet Hollis’ name is also among my top favorites (next to Harper Adelaide.. hmm, I’m thinking I see a daughter with an “H” name in my future..?
).
A little past the usual 6-10 day time frame for a newborn photography session at just a few weeks old, Hollis reminded me why I love working with babies of all ages as I couldn’t get enough of her big alert eyes. You’ll see what I mean when you check out some of my favorites below from our time together
And while complete sleep deprivation from working overtime these past few weeks has me a little less mouthy than usual, my posts wouldn’t be complete without thanking Hollis and her mom & dad immensely for being so much fun to spend time with and for allowing us the honor of capturing your new lives together! Until next time.. XO

above: I try to capture all babies in the house during a session, even the furry ones.

Saturday, July 7th, 2012Last time we left off wondering what outfit would baby Piper make her big debut in….

And the answer is….

…. the insanely adorable vintage yellow onesie! Which, by the way, just so happened to go perfectly with a sweet little yellow flower headband I had made specially by my favorite headband designer, Amelia Hambrook.
When I met up with this sweet couple not long ago for a maternity session I had such a great time I couldn’t wait to come back and meet Piper once she was born. And let me tell you, the little lady did not disappoint. Seriously, hands down, one of my favorite newborn sessions and birth stories. ever.
So in rare form I think I’ll let the images speak for themselves this time, as I am beyond proud of how they turned out. The light, the beauty, the love and emotion.. just simply enjoy it all XO (oh and of course a big thank you THANK YOU to Piper and her family for allowing me the privilege and joy of capturing her journey here. Looking forward to getting together again soon for a little double date with Vasili next time!
)

above: I just have to say though.. I think that these images of Piper breastfeeding are simply breath taking. As I have often said, breastfeeding and skin-to-skin time between baby and parents are my favorite moments at newborn sessions.. and I’d like to believe they’ll prove to be among my clients’ favorite images years from now when their little ones aren’t so little anymore

above: the nursery. simply to die for. (and designed by Piper’s mama, owner of the interior design company Noble Design Group! Yes. She will absolutely be designing all of my future nurseries)
